  • Overview

    Reporting directly to the Director of Budgeting & Reporting and working closely with the SVPs of Finance, Information Technology and Information Systems, this professional will work to develop and manage the organization’s ITFM (Information Technology Financial Management) program. The professional has responsibility for establishing and maintaining an extremely high degree of transparency and accountability for the organization’s IT Group expenditures & investments. The professional executes on key financial planning initiatives driving the coordination of IT forecasts, annual budgets & strategic plans. The professional provides financial support & ad hoc analysis to support a variety of business decisions. Performs analysis key to understanding TCO drivers and ROI benefits for the IT Group & associated projects.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Work with SVPs and other IT & Finance executives to lead IT budget planning, forecasting and management processes. Manage the financial planning process. Deliver IT forecasts, annual budgets, & long-range plans inclusive of capital expenditures,
    • Drive analysis & reporting on IT financials to understand variances to plan. Identify key drivers of variances and make recommendations for improvements when necessary,
    • Generate and distribute IT financial reports including budgets/forecasts to IT and other business groups,
    • Liaise with international IT and Finance executives to collect and report global information,
    • Lead the design and development of IT financial processes, and ensure that IT staff are following financial policies,
    • Create and present IT financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis,
    • Act as the financial liaison between IT and Corporate Finance,
    • Work with Finance to ensure that IT transactions are correctly recorded and reported including review of the expense accrual and amortization processes,
    • Manage the financial portion of IT contracts including large and complex contracts such as outsourcing and communications contracts,
    • Provide leadership and oversight of procurement and vendor management processes from an IT finance perspective,
    • Provide appropriate and effective financial mentoring, coaching and feedback to staff members.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • 8-10 years of relevant FP&A experience (financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting),
    • Experience supporting the IT function from a finance perspective (including procurement, tracking capital and expensed projects)
    • Knowledge of IT departments, roles, and terminology,
    • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and other business intelligence/data visualization platforms,
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication,
    • Demonstrated ability to present to large groups including executive teams,
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
    • Knowledge of financial transaction processing (Payables, Fixed Assets, Financial Ledgers),
    • Ability to create insightful analytics,
    • Able to collaborate, negotiate and drive IT finance concepts with business leaders both inside and outside of IT,
    • Experience with outsourcing contracts and financial governance,
    • Experience with cloud billing, allocation, and consumption reporting for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from four-year College/University required. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
    • 8-10 years of relevant FP&A experience (financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting) required.
