Our Human Resource team is growing and we’re adding a new HR Business Partner (HRBP) to our Southfield, MI location. You will be covering the Midwest States and Canada for us, traveling about 20% of the time. Hopefully, you like the long stretches of grassland as part of your territory and our neighbor further up the northern hemisphere.
In our HR function, we like go-getters. You know, the folks that are comfortable at making tough HR decisions on the go. We view our HR teams are consultants to the business, rather than the bad guys getting in the way. Seriously, who likes that? You will be conducting your own investigations from start to finish. No one likes a micro manager and with this position you will report to a Human Resources Director (HRD), who will guide you through the process. Ultimately, you are the decision-maker and they will stand by your decisions. Our HRBPs act as an employee champion and change agent by cultivating partnerships across the HR function. Fingers crossed that you also keep your checkbook balanced as you must have P&L knowledge. As an HRBP, you have to be a big picture planner as you will be assisting the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition in order to aid in achieving short and long term organizational goals.
