Overview

The Physician Recruiter – Strategic, is responsible for recruiting physicians with specific specialties located in designated geographic areas of the country and contracting with those physicians for inclusion into the ExamWorks panel of physicians.

 

This position primarily works independently with a direct reporting relationship to the SVP, Compliance, Network Development, and Privacy and with an indirect reporting relationship to Regional VPs or GMs.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Successfully developing and performing all aspects of full cycle recruiting in the healthcare industry including competitive market research, cold-calling, Internet searches, negotiating, and closing physician candidates.
  • Frequent and direct communication with Management regarding open and active requisitions to ensure expectations and departmental needs are being met.
  • Negotiating independent contractor agreements with potential physician candidates.
  • Successfully achieving results in a fast-paced, metrics-and deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to meet and exceed performance expectations and goals, as well as implement feedback to achieve desired outcome
  • Ability to prioritize time and work effectively, keeping recruiting pipeline in consideration at all times; additionally, must be able to confidently communicate pipeline to othe
  • Participating in various educational/training or recruitment meetings as required.
  • Performing special projects and/or other duties as assigned by Management.
  • At the direction of Management, representing the company at conferences, seminars and meetings for the purpose of physician recruitment.
  • Maintaining appropriate professional, client, and physician contacts in the field of physician recruitment.
  • Promoting physician relations.
  • Maintaining privacy and confidentiality as required.
  • Performing various professional duties as assigned by management.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Must hold a valid state Driver’s License.
  • Ability to attend career fairs and other networking events to attract and recruit talent.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from proactive sourcing to credentialing phase.
  • Provide counsel to senior leadership about trends in the marketplace, competitive intelligence and strategic recommendations for attracting the best candidates.
  • Ability to work autonomously in managing physician recruitment priorities.
  • Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources to attract qualified candidates.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking and/or responding to questions as needed.
  • Ability to exercise independent discretion to make decisions about whether a candidate should advance to the next step in the recruitment process.
  • A strong customer service focus as well as impeccable engagement, follow-through, and adaptability with internal customers.
  • Experience working directly with managers, ensuring their business needs are met in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing hard-to-find candidates and working in a high-volume environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely completion of all required documentation for new recruits.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to Managements’ directions accurately.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  • Must be able to prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Must be able to participate in a team-oriented environment as directed by Management.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate in close quarters with normal distractions.
  • Adapts to change in work environment with the ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret correspondence related to physician recruitment requirements.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively and edit own work for appropriate spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to common inquiries or complaints from physicians.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, in small groups, to Management, and to potential physicians.
