Overview

ExamWorks is seeking a seasoned sales professional to join the team as a Regional VP of Sales. This person must be knowledgeable in claims management, worker's comp, legal services, or a similar industry

 

The territory will be Virginia up to New England and everywhere in between. This person must be located in either New Jersey or New York due to the central locations as 60 - 80% of travel in the territory will be required. When not travelling, this will be remote

 

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for actively developing and executing sales strategies, identifying and engaging new business opportunities, and providing leadership and direction to the organizations sales functions.  This position focuses on service and client management and must achieve national, corporate, and organizational goals.  They are responsible for overall sales organization performance, the profitable achievement of the sales organization goals, and aligning sales objectives with the business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effective sales organization design, including job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment  
  • Direct and organize the Sales leaders to meet their revenue objectives and secure new accounts
  • Aligns the sales organization’s objectives with business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting
  • Perform market analysis on a regular basis and review results with senior management, making any recommendations for adjustments in all corporate sales strategies
  • Maintain and nurture key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the customer base
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization’s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior
  • Determine what industry functions, conferences, tradeshows, seminars and meetings the company should attend and when necessary, organizes and conducts client entertainment; travel as necessary. Perform all other duties as assigned

 

ESSENTIAL MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with the company’s standards, policies, and all applicable employment laws
  • Managing and monitoring workflow and providing support, training, and techniques to assist staff in achieving department daily/weekly/monthly goals and standards
  • Encouraging positive morale, maintaining harmony among staff, and resolving grievances when necessary
  • Overseeing the completion and approval of employee timecards and coordinating overtime needs with management and staff as needed
  • Actively participating in the department’s staffing requirements including hiring, onboarding, and separating of employees
  • Creating and implementing plan to meet department’s goals and metrics based on workload and client needs
  • Communicating change effectively and supporting those affected by change
  • Managing insubordinate staff when warranted and initiating coaching or corrective actions as required and/or directed by upper management
  • Evaluating staff needs and performance, providing periodic feedback to staff and reporting any performance concerns and/or recommendations growth opportunities to management
  • Actively participating and successfully conducting annual performance evaluations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business management, sales, or related field preferred
  • Must hold a valid state Driver's License
  • 10+ years of experience in sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of claims management, case management, and Medicare Compliance relative to workers' compensation, no-fault, liability, and disability is preferred
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed
  • Must have effective project management skills with the ability to develop strategies that differentiate products and services in a competitive market environment
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently
  • Must use intuition and experience to effectively market the company’s services
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
  • Must demonstrate the ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or challenges
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team -oriented environment
